Cantonese Sentence Fill In The Gap

How to create Cantonese worksheets?

This resource is designed to help students learn and practice Cantonese by filling in the gaps in worksheets. It can be used to teach and assess vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure. Additionally, it can be used as an assessment tool to gauge student understanding. This resource is versatile and helpful for students of all levels.

Enter your text and click on the words that you want your students to fill in. The selected words will appear at the end. If the students are filling in more than one character in each space, you can choose whether you’d like the answers to be scrambled so that students have to both unscramble the answers and then find the correct place to fill the gap. This way, your students get practice with both unscrambling words and with finding the correct place to fill in the gaps.

You can choose the Cantonese font and size of the text as well as the title for the worksheet. The Cantonese learning worksheet you create will be ready for you to print. When printing, you can select how many worksheets you would like to have without answers as well as how many you would like with answers. The worksheets with answers will show the gap filled with the correct word and have it underlined.

Fill in the Gap Examples:

我有一只猫.

becomes

我 ____ 一只猫   (有)

If you wanted to select more than one answer:

我有一只猫。他的名字叫珀西

becomes

我 ______ 一只猫。他 ___ 名字叫珀西。( 的, 有)

If you wanted to make it even more advanced, for example:

我有一只猫。他的名字叫珀西。珀西有棕色的毛发。

which becomes

我 ____一只猫。他_____名字叫珀西。珀西有_____的毛发。 ( 的, 棕色, 有)

Once you have printed your Cantonese Fill in the Gap worksheet, your students can start practicing right away! You can even get the students to mark their own work – with these worksheets students can check their answers using the answer sheet.
